Do you teach straight from the text book? Do you want to know how you can make the work more relevant for your students? This course will take you by the hand, step by step, and show you how to make that change. In the Foundation Unit you will learn about famous educationists and brain research, both of which have influenced current educational practice.
Howard Gardner and MI Thoery
Professor Howard Gardner's MI theory has influencing education since 1983, as a result of research he was doing at Harvard University in the USA. Learn how this theory came about and how it has been implemented in schools across the world.
Friedrich Froebel and the Individual Child
Froebel emphasised the importance of the teacher's observations, and educating the whole child. He demonstrated how children learn through play and from nature, and the importance of starting from where the child is.
John Dewey and Real Life Situations
John Dewey's educational theory was that children are by nature curious, similar to scientists, and experimentation and independent thinking should be encouraged. He also believed that they should learn through real life situations.

If after studying lessons 4 and 5, in Module 2, you feel that module is not for you, there is a full money-back guarantee. Any requests or complaints should be send to email@example.com. As, however, we are expecting your enthusiasm and success, if you would like to join others who have made a video to describe Module 1, when you have completed lesson 3, that would be greatly appreciated.
